Vex 5 is a 2D stickman platformer where players navigate deadly obstacle courses filled with spikes, saws, traps, and many other dangers. Reflexes, timing, and patience are keys to surviving through increasingly tougher Acts (or levels). Be careful; just a mistimed jump can kill the run and send your character back to the last checkpoint instantly. Aim to complete the Acts as quickly as you can to win trophies.

How to Play Vex 5

Like in other installments in the Vex series, your mission here is to guide a stickman character through traps and challenges, successfully touch the checkpoints, and finally reach the finish line.

Run, jump, and avoid hazards

Start an act and begin running toward the finish, following the on-screen instructional arrows. Master your run and use precise jumps to clear hazards like spikes and moving platforms. Do not touch or hit any of them, since this causes instant death and significantly slows your progress.

Use each type of block strategically

Purple blocks. They are quite weak. They break or disappear shortly after you touch them, so you need to move quickly and not linger.
Orange blocks. These are bounce pads. They launch your character high into the air, helping you reach higher areas or clear wide gaps.
Brown blocks. You can push and reposition them to help you reach higher platforms, block hazards, or create paths.

Touch checkpoints

Each act contains multiple checkpoints marked by red flags. Touching them turns the flags green and saves your progress.

Encounter increasingly complex courses

As you progress in Vex 5, you’ll encounter increasingly complex Acts with more complex level designs, tighter timing, and new obstacle combinations. Everything combines to make the courses progressively harder as you advance.
